I would dearly love a load of Micro Live TV programmes on disc.
Can you let me know how can I get hold of them please?
Thanks very much.

Unfortunately, I can't sell copies, because that's illegal. Once I've archived more of my collection, I might sell the original tapes as blanks, though.

You are a cruel, cruel man! Listing all your cool archived retro stuff and then not making them available to anyone!
If you think about it, we've paid our TV licenses to the BBC for the past god knows how long in order to fund these programmes (anyway - what's the TV license for?! I pay for Satellite TV and I get all the BBC stuff through that so why should I have to pay for it twice?!?!?).
In conclusion I believe that the public own these programmes - we must've paid for them several times over with the license money!
If money didn't change hands specifically for the contents of the disc (in other words I'd be buying the discs that may or may not have something on them), then it's not illegal.
I'd be interested to hear your views on this one!

Well, I work for the BBC so I can hardly condone piracy. However, as you point out, these are hardly assets that the BBC is likely to exploit - I can't see 'The Best of Micro Live' selling loads on DVD.
Basically, it would be illegal for me to make any money by copying my video collection and selling it to people. And I certainly couldn't offer that service on a website owned and operated by the BBC itself. Morally, I'd be happy to copy a few onto disc, but I'd rather not make a huge profit on it.

Excellent. Thanks for offering to do me a few onto disc. It's much appreciated. If you could put a load of Micro Live episodes onto a some discs for me that would be fantastic.
My email is [email protected]
If you e-mail me I will then send you my postal address. Perhaps instead of paying you for the discs I could make a donation to a charity of your choice? I'm sure the BBC wouldn't mind that kind of transaction.
Thanks again for being so co-operative and thoughtful - I yearn to see such a classic TV show again and you will be making an old man very happy.
Kind regards,
James

Er, hello?!?!?!
Can you get in touch please and let me know what's going on?
I seem to remember you said you'd do me some Micro Live stuff about two weeks ago but I haven't heard from you.
Cheers.
