You can call me TC

I think I've got it on a record of JR's Christmas music.

And I can't get it out of my mind now either. Thanks for that!

I like the idea of the bellringing. One choir I am in the choirmaster plays the opening chords or a catchy tune as a sort of fanfare to mark the end of the break. But it does take ages for people to settle down again. Drives me mad - what on earth do they find to talk about?

Gnomon - time to move on

You can listen to Lyric FM over the internet - it's at www.rte.ie. But I don't know if you can listen to it afterwards. Hopefully they'll give us some warning if we're going to be played.

I've tuned in to lyric fm since yesterday.

I haven't heard a carol yet but then I've not listened 24/24.

It's a nice station, though, so thanks for the tip. smiley - smiley

Gnomon - time to move on

I was wrong about that date and time. I misread the website and was looking at last year's page (which didn't have the year listed on it). This year's schedule has not yet been announced.

Well, I forgot, or rather I thought it was today, so listened to the full two hours. Then I checked this thread and was dismayed to have missed it until I found that you can 'listen again' , which I did. Since I couldn't recall the name of this choir (I know the name of the Gaudete Singers), I thought it was your choir doing this truly horrible modern adaptation. By mere chance I listened on and was rewarded near the end of the broadcast with the version of your choir, which I loved. smiley - smiley

For all those who missed it and don't want to go through the whole two hours:

Go to http://www.rte.ie/lyricfm/lunch/1190320.html

Click 'Tuesday' in the small box to the right with the loud speaker next to it, then 'fast forward' to 1h 52 minutes.

It takes a while to load this way, but not as long as listening to the full broadcast. smiley - winkeye

On my laptop I was told I had to download Realplayer to hear it. I thought I had Realplayer on there, but I downloaded anyway. Then I couldn't figure out how to install (it runs on Linux). So I moved over to my husband's computer which runs on Windows and I know what to do there. It told me I needed to download Realplayer there too. Now it's telling me the new Realplay will only run on the new IE8. smiley - wah It's all taking ages.
