Fear Not! I have no intention of writing about the 2002-3 or 2005-9 Isle of Wight Festivals as I wasn't there. But I was at this one, and the 2004 Festival is historic in being the one that re-introduced the Isle of Wight Festivals into the big league of the UK's music festival scene.

Hi BB. Thought for a minute I was seeing double when I saw the title. smiley - cdoublesmiley - spacesmiley - biggrin

A couple of things on first read:-

"with the resulting in a queue over three hours long.."

with the resulting queue over three hours long..*

"was now housing a crowded music festival..."

I think 'hosting' a crowded music festival reads better here.

"to visit the Island when he waas a boy,..."

*to visit the Island when he was a boy,...*

Another in depth piece, well done. smiley - ok

Sorry BB, but for an entry on an exciting landmark event it's a bit verbose in places. I'd say go through it and try to be more concise - that'll make it more readable. Otherwise, I can't fault you on the quality of writing.

Hi Bluebottle and all. This looks ready to us. If Bluebottle, you have time to take another look at the text, bearing Tufty's last comments in mind, we would be happy to wait. But if you'd like to leave it as it and want us to pass it on to a sub-editor, that would be fine too. Just let us know. smiley - ok

I think it's probably a case where a fresh pair of eyes would benefit it most. If people are happy for it to go to a sub-ed, that's fine by me.

Okay, Bluebottle. It's a very well-written Entry that probably only needs a minor trim here and there. If you're okay with that, we'll take it away. Many thanks smiley - ok

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
