The only thing that I have noticed is you have either double quotation marks, or curly apostrophes - these usually show up when the Entry is written offline and copied across.

This account is rather harrowing, but clearly tells the reader of a period in American history when workers such as the miners were fighting for the rights that are now taken for granted in a civilised country.

I think it is well written and laid out and will be a good addition to the Edited Guide.

on a nitpick note - there are a couple of usages of the American spelling of labor

----> labour.

Thanks for the input. I've made a few minor changes, as follows.

Changed labor to labour in several locations.
Changed honored to honoured.
Changed "men working of the coal companies" to "men working for the coal companies."
Changed "September 23, 1913" to "23 September, 1913."
Changed "provocation for the strikers to open fire an the National Guard" to "provocation for the strikers to open fire on the National Guard."
Changed "dedicated a monument dedicated to Ludlow's dead" to "erected a monument dedicated to Ludlow's dead."
