Does anyone know why one of the records of the White Stripes is called 'De Stijl'? It's a Dutch word, but I thought they were from England.
Just curious

Sorry, buddy...The White Stripes are American, from Detroit, actually...
I don't think it really means anything for them to be American and use a Dutch word like "Stijl." Hell, look at Ikea...

I asked some friends in RL and one of them said they called it 'de stijl' after a Dutch architectural style they were obviously impressed by.
Thanks for the reply anyway

De Stijl is a famous artist. Replicas of the art are featured in the sleeve of the CD. does anyone else agree that de stijl is better than white blood cells?
