Mark's last h2g2 Party...

I haven't told the Beeb yet, but I'm planning to take a couple of knitting needles, strap them together in a cross-shape, and stick a ball of wool on the top. I'm then going to get a piece of paper and draw a face with an inane smile on it, and stick this to the front of the ball of wool. I'll drape a long-sleeved shirt over the rest, taking a couple of rubber gloves stuffed with cotton wool and inserting them in the shirt's cuffs. I'll them drape the gloves over my keyboard, put some headphones on the ball of wool with some loud rock music blaring out, and tell everyone that Mark's in a bad mood and shouldn't be disturbed.
I reckon it'll take 'em at least a year to figure out what's happened, by which time I'll be back. How's that sound for a plan? It's cheaper than a statue...

I think it depends on whether you've got 
s in the office. If so, then your body-double won't last overly long.

Hmm, good point. We could use steel wool, but I'm far more wool-like than steel-like...
I don't think there are any s around... though there are probably mice. This is central London, after all.
