One of the best rock bands in the world is Queen. I know Freddie has long since passed for the Earth, but the legend of Queen will rock on for ages.

So why do I believe that Queen is the best rock band in the world? They changed the face of rock music, and were able to survive a period where 'punk rock' dominated the scene of music.

One of the biggest changes they did to the music industry was to change to way rock concerts were performed. If you look at the way that concerts are performed today, most of the style dates back to the early style of Queen concerts. No longer are the bands just there to play music, they are there to entertain there fans who have paid so much to see them.

Though I was not born when Queen first hit the music scene, I was surely old enough to enjoy first hand the late 80's of Queen. I have all the Digital Remasters and all of the albums that were released in Australia. One thing that struck me recently is that I met a 10 year old who's favourite band is Queen.

I could not say what is my most favourite album, but I can say that the one that moved me the most is 'Made In Heaven'. To hear the voice of Freddie from beyond the grave was probably the most selfless act that the band could ever do. They spent every last minute of Freddie's life just to give an ever lasting memory of the rock band that changed not just music but peoples lives.

To all those out there that think Queen's only songs are 'We Will Rock You', 'We Are The Champions', or 'Bohemian Rhapsody' then I suggest that you go out and listen to other songs of their's, you will be surprise in how varied their music is.

Anyway, I could go on for ages about how much I love Queen, and why everyone in the world should love them, but I won't as I am sure h2g2 doesn't have the room.
