h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

You get one thumb up and one thumb down on your first attempt. Oh, and a warning thumb (don't ask where I got three thumbs - it involved an accident at the power plant).

First the thumb up: The article is enjoyable to read, especially the Medusa/Ugly Bill stuff. Thank god I never looked Bill in the face. They should have made him play with one of those football helmets with the mirrored face shield.

Now the thumb down: The hyperbole thingy confused me. Actually it made me feel stupid, because I had to reach for a dictionary to remember (i.e. find out) what it meant. As the word hyperbole (apparently) means "exaggeration," I'm confused as to why watching Bill would be a hyperbole. You might consider revising, or explaining further, or just explaining further to me if it does make sense. End of constructive criticism (don't hurt me!).

Finally, the warning thumb: While I enjoyed the article personally, there is the possibility that it will be rejected because of the amount of sports related stuff in it (sports sports sports sports). I am worried about this myself. Someone else read my underdog the other day and loved it, except for the fact that it had too much sports, or as he/she/it put it, too much "American baseball, or was it football?" So far everyone I have corresponded with is from England, the company that runs H2G2 is English, Douglas Adams (from now on referred to as "The Master") is English, everyone is English but you and I. So I'm wondering how all the sports stuff will play with the editors. Of course, the guide is supposed to be the ultimate reference tool, so some sports shouldn't hurt. We'll see.

Cane across this while looking for info on real bricks. Couldn't let it go without a reply: the Master & 90% of followers may be english, but everyone I know on h2g2 is Irish, like myself.
