A Conversation for The Anime and Manga Shack

Anime vs Manga

When you read series that have both anime and manga versions which do you usually like better. I usually like the manga but it really is mainly because of the bad American voice acting and the manga being less modified during translation not do to the inherent properties of the mediums. I think that if I could see and understand them I would probably prefer the Japanese language version Bleach anime to the manga.

T.B. Falsename ACE: [stercus venio] I have learned from my mistakes, and feel I could repeat them exactly.

I dunno, of the ones where I've read the manga and seen the anime I don't find that I really prefer one over the other. But then I always try to watch the anime in Japanese with subtitles.

Obviously, as a newcomer to the world of anime and manga, there are very few anime for which I have read the manga.

In fact, part of me is resisting that solely on the grounds that I don't have enough space to get into any more extensive series that I'm going to want to own. So I'm holding back on checking out much manga, just so I don't pick up yet another obsessive collecting habit.

But, I did watch one series that I thought was good, and am reading the manga just because it completes the story line and I enjoyed the anime enough to want to know how everything ends up.

I also always try to watch in Japanese with the subtitles. I do that with all foreign films.
