For christmas I have recieved a copy of the first disc of NieA under Seven. It is a really odd first episode, but I think that I like it.

I also purchased today the first disc of Inu Yasha. This has to be one of the more engaging series that I have been able to watch so far. Too bad only the first disc is out here.

Well I've seen lots of episodes of Inuyasha and I think that Takahashi is doing a good job on this show.

It starts slow, but it is a story that builds. The characters change and develop over time. It still has a monster of the month quality, but it is the kind of show that grows on you.

It grew on me very quickly.

I have got the second disc realeased just this month. I fear that this is going to be a long wait for me as the series is released. It is 100 episodes long.
Neia also has grown on me. At least it is only 4 discs.

One note... The dubbing for Inu Yasha sucks. It is the only series that I have to watch in japanese with the subs. Others I can take or leave, but the dub is terrible for this one.

Blues Shark - For people who like this sort of thing, then this is just the sort of thing they'll like

I've been reading Inu Yasha with interest, and find it thoroughly enjoyable - still not a patch on Maison Ikkoku, but thats a personal thing, I think. smiley - smiley

At least the story has a built in end - experience shows that takahashi is SO much better when working towards a finale rather than the open endededness of Lum or Ranma, both of which i gave up on some time ago...

The only bad part about Inu Yasha is that I hear the series is 100 episodes long and so far the discs only have 3 episodes per. That translates to a very large investment.
