I have now purchased Metropolis, but have yet to watch it - though I really ought to before my eight dvd box set of Evangelion arrives from the States...

It has been proved that Evangelion has caused actual psychological trauma and damage to people. Oh, God...

It only caused me trauma and upset because of the long wait in this country for Death & Rebirth. Of course, it would be nice to have End in time for me to watch the whole series again before I watch it...

I know some people who have been through psychological counseling who say that EVA is really inspiring.
Mostly the opinions vary from.
I will never watch that disgusting show again!

Eva is the greatest anime ever made!
Hard to find middle ground on EVA.
I liked the story, and the Christian imagery of being on the wrong side of the Revelations myth. Of course, they went out of their way to ruin every good feeling you had for the characters. I never saw a show with so many characters that I wanted to hate. Almost everyone was a disappointment, and I said to myself...
"You know, God was right. It IS time to wipe these people off of the face of the Earth."
I did like Misato and Kaji though.
