Well, I can safely say, it can't be that big if there isn't one in Bristol.

Wait. You *don't* like Forbidden Planet? What kind of crazy world do you lot live in?

A world where I have the privilege of dealing with a comics supplier that is professional, reasonably priced, has staff that are more than ignorant cavemen and in general a plaseure to deal with, as opposed to FP's general 'get the cash get 'em out the door' attitude.

Sounds kinda like any Gamestop store over here.

Sounds kind of like any Role playing shop in the world, really smiley - laugh It also sounds like every comic supplier in the UK about twenty years ago. Thankfully, most of them have extracted their heads from their butts. FP are the (dis)honourable exception...

one of the local comic book store where I am is fairly clean with a great selection of Anime, Manga and Comics, But the other, well
The guy's house is attacked to the biulding complex, It's dirty, full of kids complaining about who broke the rules in there Magic/Pokemon/Yu-gi-oh/Star Wars CCG tournements (and these guys are horrible) and the guys kid regularly hogs the T.V. while eating Cereal in his Pajamas.

Ok. Well I've never found the Forbidden PLanet in Bristol to be that bad...always a nice welcoming establishment when I've visited...

Bristol may be better. In London, they are a watchword for bad service and high prices. Regretably they are the only game in town for many things...

Though it's not as bad as the one described by RanmaFreak, though I do know the kind of establishment he refers to. smiley - yikes

It's bad
I dislike going there. Luckily, the guy cant make enough money to Franchise like this Forbidden Planet Establishment
(also, the guy who runs the place is EXATLY like the comic book guy in the simpsons, except hes somewhat in shape and has hair)

I think I have to say, in fairness to FP that they were excellent at one time. Franchising always leads to problems in quality in any operation (just ask the McDonald Brothers smiley - winkeye).
They do stock good range, and in depth. They have a high staff turnover as well, so it's difficult to keep statndards up. Especially in London...
