Not much to add to that, really. Interesting entry - good read. A couple of points:

one = on (first paragraph)
banjo-ukelele: Surely just a ukelele would suffice
'Standing at the corner of the street': Capitalise corner & street for song title as it's a song title. Italicise song titles as well, maybe?

to correct typo. , I'll put the song title with capitals throughout and put it in italics. I think 'banjo-ukelele' should stay, however. A true ukelele is a small instrument rather like a small guitar.

I have a real fondness for George Formby Senior. My grandmother saw him on stage in Lancashire and there's a lovely group called the 'Oldham Tinkers' - not sure if they're still playing - who did songs about the John Willie character, my favourite being 'John Willie's Granddad'. I searched in vain for a link to them. I still quote the 'it wasn't the cough that carried him off' saying to my young son now when he coughs.
