It's always refreshing to read a well-rounded review and be able to tell that the reviewer actually watched the flick.
Personally, I was pleasantly surprised by Blade II, since I thought the first one was a hack job. The vampires are gonna summon the blood god! Why? Everyone will be turned into a vampire! Okay...uh, then what are they all going to eat? Toads? Pretty dippy, I thought.
At least II (like the Mummy 2) didn't try to be something it wasn't. All action all the time and a minimum of verbiage. The perfect entertainment for an afternoon of turning one's brain off.
