Never mind the 'flu remedy ad, which I fully agree is arrogant to the point of rudeness (and would probably persuade ME to buy just about ANY other medication available in the event I needed one, just to spite 
the ad-makers!
In this part of the UK there seems to be a conviction that we all suffer from 
Constipation if you take as your measure the frequency with which these medications are being flogged on our screens . . . !
