Welcome!

If you just love Lord of the Rings, this is (going to be) the place on h2g2 to be! I noticed that no one else made a page for fans just like you and me, so this is (going to be) it! I have to apologize, because I had this whole page ready...twice. And I lost it...twice. So now it is under construction...AGAIN! You know when you press preview, then change your mind and press stop, and then change your mind yet again and press preview? And then you get that lovely "please do not press this button again" message? So you think to yourself, well I'll just press refresh and see what happens...and do you know what happens? Everything disappears. So you make the page one more time, and after you have spent your (not so) precious time on it, in a bout of stupidity you do it again! (fool of a Took!)*bangs head on keyboard* iodhgigikojojddgjosa... Well anyway, maybe you don't know, but I most certainly do. So you'll have to be patient, and come back (pretty please?) later. Any suggestions are, of course, welcome.
The Movie

The Fellowship of the Ring, the first part of the epic trilogy, leaves you wanting to jump on the next plane to Middle Earth. The film feels almost like a documentary of a true story. (only much more exciting!) Peter Jackson has definitely made one of the best movies of all time. *round of applause!* After leaving the theater you could believe that Elijah Wood IS Frodo, Sir Ian McKellen IS Gandalf, New Zealand IS Middle Earth...etc. This is a film that truly does jutice to the book.

The Book

The Lord of the Rings, written by J.R.R Tolkien, has been considered by some as the best book of the century. While the philologist had originally written the book in order to expand on his invented languages, (Quenya, Sindarin, Black Speech, etc.) it became one of the greatest stories of all time. It leaves hope that in the end, good will always triumph over evil.
