Hmmm. I love the concept of the cockroach evolving into a grasshopper and snatching the pebble from sensei's hand! What a fabuluous question; I'll be contemplating in my sleep, I'm sure, how a cockroach could become a human. (Maybe cockroach feces could contain the cure for the Ebola virus?) I don't think humans devolve when we're "bad"; we just come back and deal with the same stuff again until we get through it. That's why I thought "Groundhog Day" was such a fabulously Buddhist movie. Of course, with a name like "Researcher 209869" maybe I'm a cockroach who thinks she's a human; that's okay though, because I chant - someday I'll be a grasshopper!
