A Conversation for Talking Point: The Euro
Shocked.

I am rather shocked by something I have notciced.
There are very few people who are against UK entry to the euro who seem to be able to 1) Spell
and
2) Notice that they Vote to elect the members of the European parliament.
I wonder why?

Is not the European parliament almost toothless in comparison to the Commission which is... unelected?
Note that even when massive corruption abounded in the Commission they could barely use their powers to chastise the commisioners, let alone oust them from office.
Presuming - nay almost announcing that you are more intelligent that your opponents is not constructive argument.
