The British are widely credited with having invented this amorphous food. Americans resent them for having done so and have banished a number of forms of pudding - most notably Steamed and Fried Puddings - to the eastern side of the Atlantic.
Perhaps the most exotic pudding is 'blood pudding', a squelchy feast of sheep's blood and cubes of fat.
