I'd like to make a substitution, if I may! Apparently Emile Heskey is injured and won't be playing in the Sunderland-Liverpool game. So I'd like to call Michael Owen off the bench to take his place in my predictions!
To avoid any confusion, here are my revised choices in full:
Everton 2-0 Leicester (Campbell)
Sunderland 1-3 Liverpool (Owen)
Bradford 2-1 West Bromwich (Jess)
Middlesbrough 1-2 Arsenal (Bergkamp)
Fulham 1-2 Chelsea (Hasselbaink)

And the first 2 results are:
Everton 2-2 Leicester (Deane), 1 pt to greyDesk
Bradford 0-1 West Brom (Balis), 1 pt to GWL, vogonpoet and Otto.
That West Brom goal was a last minute penalty, so GreyDesk nearly took the points

Newcastle left that one a little late...
So what do we reckon to GreyDesks bold tactic then Egon? Certainly interesting...

I'm out there exploiting the new "2 points for no scorer" rule. If (and its a big if) everything comes off OK I get the points for guessing no one, which is way easier than guessing which of the over paid prima donnas is going to stick it in the back of the net
Somehow I feel a rule change coming on for next week....

Ormondroyd Posted Apr 13, 2002
You came close to an easy five points from today's game at Valley Parade, GreyDesk! Only a questionable late penalty denied you!
Nice tactics by the Blades, BTW, helping to send Barnsley on their way to Wigan and Wycombe. I'm sure you're distraught about that...

Might I suggest that Brentford v Reading would be a good game to include in Week Nine? It's a kind of unofficial promotion play-off. Whoever wins gets the second automatic promotion place up from Division Two. A draw would send Reading up, but they're the away team - and it's almost a local derby. Should be pretty tense and dramatic!
WEEK EIGHT
egon Posted Apr 15, 2002
As it's the last games of the Nationwide League next week, there will be no premier league matches in week nine. See more in the week nine conversation when I've read the tables and fixtures in the paper.
WEEK EIGHT RESULTS
egon Posted Apr 15, 2002
Oh, I nearly forgot, the results are:
