The Angels told me these are the sieves that Eratosthenes used.

I don't think that meets the footnoting guidelines.

If you don't believe in Angels, then I guess this is the Sieve of Karen. Ha ha. That's a good one. Better to give credit where it's due. Eratosthenes wouldn't give his name to the lame sieve that is currently attributed to him. I guarantee it, but I can't prove it.

A nice young man helped me with the chart, so I can fix it. If I do, is there a place you can post it, or do I simply leave it in my space (in which case I'll take my time fixing it).

What a wonderful idea this is. I found this sight because the BBC has the best news. This is better.

Still, Pika

huh? It doesn't have any footnotes - and there's no problem with not having any footnotes in the Edited Guide... smiley - erm

It seems like you submitted this to Peer Review @ F84088?thread=166821 , but the thread isn't loadable now! smiley - huh

Oh, I'm confused... smiley - sadface

Hi there - Health *
Okay, I submitted the sieve of Eratosthenes for review, but then someone said that Eratosthenes didn't use this sieve.

I can't prove that Eratosthenes used it, but the Angels left me with that impression.

That's what I meant about the footnotes. Do I just get to say
1.From the Angels.

So I took it off the peer review and it's on me space. That's good enough for now. However, I don't know how to program, and I think this can be run. A guy once told me that if this does what I say it does, then it could be very important. He didn't want to run it. He said the NSA would come knocking at his door. That's the national security agency. Maybe that's true, or maybe he just didn't feel like doing it. I don't really know.

So if it could be run, and it is important, then it would help in my efforts to awaken His Holiness, my only goal.

So if you want to program it, I'd love to see it running.

Are you less confused or more?

Still, Pika

I hate to dissapoint you, but this way of generating primes isn't anything new - nor is it particularly efficient. Pretty good in eratosthenes' day, but nothing that the NSA will be excited by now... smiley - winkeye

Only a little disappointed. Where did you see it?

Thanks, Pika

a girl called Ben

The author appears to have moved to a different astral plane - or to have left the building at any rate.

I am therefore proposing that this thread is moved to the Flea Market.

I'll second that. It sounds as if Pika doesn't mind where it is anyway.
