I went to Google and looked up Læsø - nice place!
I've always wanted to go to Bornholm - got interested after being called up on several occasions by foreigners wanting to know if I had any rooms available... First I thought it was some friend joking with me, it took some time before I realised the foreigners had dialed the prefix wrong and ended up at my place in Stockholm instead of at the motell they wanted on Bornholm!

Sure, Bornholm is still a nice place - even after our family was there last year on summer holidays...
I'll be going there early in the summer holidays - as is my daughter. We're both active in the scouts here, her as a "mini" (8-10yrs) while I'm an assistant leader for the 12-15 yrs old ones. So we'll be going there together, but not quite together...
And then later, on Læsø, we're our family and some friends, a family living just up the road from us. Nice and "hyggeligt"

I normally spend a week or a fortnight in the Alps, but I itch for some action this year, and hopping around in Scandinavia for some weeks may be just what I need...
Besides, I'd love to see some old friends again, I haven't been in Norway for more than ten years...
Any of you into sf fandom?
I'm sniffing around this site at the mo: http://www.conjose.org
I wish I could afford to go... Never been to one of the big ones before.

Hi, Cybercat!
Yes, Norway is pretty - but my favourite is the English countryside, especially the Cotswolds.
If I was rich I'd fit in a trip to England too in my summer plans!

Ah yes, we have a lot of wetness too today - good as an excuse to not do any laundry, otherwise quite useless...
Thanks, I'm ok - I think... A bit messed up as usual - I think I'm going through some identity crisis at the mo. I'm trying to evaluate/reevaluate my whole being... Brain's very fuzzy...
And you?

Fishing boots aside, they don't sell rubber boots here - not even for children. When it's raining *everybody's* inside. I don't get it. Playing in the mud used to be one my favourite pasttimes...

"There is no such thing as bad weather. It's your clothes that are wrong."
So, there!
*starts thinking that he hasn't got a jacket waterproof enough if that week on Bornholm turns out to be solid rain...*

Couldn't agree more. We have a saying like that in the whole in the ground where I grew up too. "There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing". In my dialect it rhymes too...
There's also this: "You don't dress according to the season, but to the weather."
I wonder what's wrong with some of today's kids (and their parents). They don't seem to be interested in the outside at all. In my days I was out in *all* weathers.
*offers an to Santragenius*
