Not everybody does. It's like when you get asked about somebody's new hairdo or dress, or something. I like to call a spade a spade when I see one and my opinion about it is asked for. So if I find the hairdo yucky, I would find it dishonest to say "Oh, it's nice! You look great!" like so many people do (and expect to hear themselves). Am I a horrible person..?

I've decided to do a Grand Scandinavian Tour this summer/fall - fjords included.

We're doing (quite) the opposite - just booked summer holiday camping on an island. I guess that's a little land in a lot of water - whereas fjords are a little water in a lot of land...?

May I guess Bornholm?

Not sure if Norwegian fjords can be described as 'little water' - they are very narrow, but also very deep. A lot of foreign submarines are lurking deep deep down in them spying on the Norwegians, too deep for any radar to find them (this according to popular myth, anyhow).
