Hi Bob
This is great, there's an abundance of information here
I remember seeing a Roman re-enactment programme and the presenters made a Corvus, then showed how it was used between the two ships. It had to be launched accurately first time, there were no second chances! You could link to my Corvus constellation article [A40980378] as I do mention the relationship between the two, if you like
Bob, good work

Maaaybe if you got a little more actively involved in passing them, rather than waiting until there's nothing else to pick?

It's not necessarily a waiting game, bob. Sometimes it's better to put your entries through one or two at a time so that you can give them your full attention and make changes to them quickly. Hopefully that will lead to more comments from reviewers, thus allowing the entries to make good progress towards the Approved Guide.

I second what Alex said. You're not a bad writer, but if you took comments on board and concentrated on getting one perfected rather than sticking it in PR, ignoring it, and starting a new one, you could become a great writer.

Well, I think this is another good entry and is ready to be picked.
I recall the 1925 version of Ben Hur has a naval battle scene between 5 triremes. Full ships, not models. Apparently when one of them sank they switched to models. On the big screen the switch is very disappointing - the big triremes in action are very special to watch. I saw it at a film festival on a really, really big screen.

There seems to be an issue with recommending these entries. Maybe because they are linked at the top?
As Gnomon is away on holiday and the Eds are really busy at the moment with all the new happenings I don't think I can find out why or what we should do about it.
I notice that one of the linked Entries is marked not for review. Perhaps you could alter this - and finish it off, then send it into Peer Review singly?
Maybe you could UNLINK the other entries, and I'll see what we can manage.
