My so dear Waz big
Thank you soooooo much for the quite brilliant birthday card. How on earth did you get all those fish and roses and discos and writing and all the other goodies to go like that.
I was totally bewitched and enthralled by the spectacle. wonderful what you did.
I am just trying to print out my birthday details. I shall have them bound plus the photographs that I had taken at my RL party. wish you could come down for the summer meet. You could always stay here. It would be great to meet you.
Fond and thank you again for your wonderful gift.

Hi AR1,
so glad you liked it. I misspent a weekend a while ago looking at how people got moving smilies on their pages and then experimented. I still don't really know how it works, it's all trial and error using the marquee tag.
It looks like your RL and h2 parties were something to remember. You only celebrated for a few days though. Jodan, (have you met him here?) celebrated his for an entire month!
Meeting people RL is very tempting, I'd love to meet you and your offer is so kind...I wouldn't be able to make this year's date but maybe one day, when I've less hassle. And if I get the nerve! I find an h2 meet quite a scary prospect. People have cameras there for one one thing ...
How is your garden going? I removed enormous amounts of an evergreen honeysuckle last week, I needed to see out the windows again . Penelope, the shrub rose is in full bloom this week and Elsa Spathe, the clematis, is joining her.
I hope you are fully recovered from all the partying, take care, and thanks again for your offer, I do appreciate it,
Waz

Hi my dear Waz,
Well the offer will always be open as long as I am here. I do not know if I shall be able to go because I have to have someone to take me and be responsible for pushing and my eldest son M. who did it last year will be in New York. So although I would like to go I do not know if I can make it.
|No I do not know Jordan - who is s/he?
I am so thrilled because my Russell lupins, which I could never grown in Zim are quite beautiful this year. I also have two clematis flowerng. I have never grown them before, and now I have a perfectly splendid one called Mr. President (reminds me of Marilyn Munroe and John Kennedy!!) is quite breathtaking. I imagine it is easy to get hooked on them. I saw a lovely one yesterday at the garden centre and was very tempted to buy it but I have no more wallls left to grow them up!!.
My roses are just coming into bloom. I only have one Fragrant one and I think that it is Papa Meilland - a very old rose. I have a shrub rose which I bought at the end of year sale last year (as well as the two clematis) and it is full of buds ( and unfortunately some blackspot as well ) but I am hoping that it will be flower profusely.
I also thought that the meet would be aweinspiring, but it is quite strange being introduced as AR and so on and so on. It is very anonymous which is quite strange. I think that I only know the real life names of about six people - and you are not one of them!!. Should you ever however feel comfortable about coming out and being identified by having come to stay you know that you are for me an "old" friend and I mean it in the nicest way - not old geriatric but old as in trusted and compassionate.
I was very distressed to see the reception that poor Serena Willimas got at the Roland Garros stadium. It is incredible how deeply rooted racism is. I felt thoroughly ill at the way the crowd were booing her. The two girls have done so well and have always been so generous in the appraisals about their opponents. Anyway, my personal act of retrebution will be not to watch the finals of the womens singles!!.(cutting off noses etc. etc. - but I do not think so)
Well, my sweet I must end.
Have a good weekend. I am taking K. to Whitstable on Saturday where we shall be meeting my brother in law and I shall be treating him to a lovely lunch at a fish restaurant there to honour my birthday!1.
With much
AR1
