My dad used to be able to roll a cigarette one handed while driving, which distracted us children from the screaming horrors going on beyond the windscreen.
Nice to have you back Wowbagger, you seem to be cropping up all over the place, full of energy and searching for sustenance after the snooze.

That would be a more than adequate desription of my general state my friend.
How did the Meet fare? All you hoped? Bask in the warm glow of celebrity?

He he, yes, have you experienced that too? Someone once said that there are two sorts of fame: that which goes with a famous face, and that which goes with a famous name. The latter is the one to have; it has all the benefits and none of the downside of the former. It's a peculiar thing when people introduce you and the other person says, 'Ah' knowingly (and hopefully with pleasure).
My one regret was the lack of most of my regular correspondents who, like yourself, live on far flung shores... well, obviously they're not far flung to you, to you they're local, but you appreciate my drift. But the new people I met, plus a far flung correspondent who made it from Holland, more than made up for it.

Well, spimcoot, if I ever make it over to the UK, you'll be one of the ones I'll annoy (Wowbaggger, unfortunately I doubt I'll ever make it to Oz...)

Well Amy, I think you've got your priorities wrong.
Most Englanders head down here for their holidays. Why not cut out the middle man and come straight down here? LOL

But I don't know if I'd be able to talk Tom into flying down there... I've got lots of people to annoy in the UK, and I've known them longer...

Sounds like a case for a mass exodus of Blighters to Oz where the U.S. contingent can join us. Has there been an h2g2 world party yet? And if not, why not?

I'm glad to see that Wowbagger has had a nice sleep and some cornflakes and I liked the graphic too, tell me is it hard to do the bear of was it a trace?
I think we should herald a H2G2 world party in space, what a perfect way to not couse any arguments, apart from the prof. It just goes to show that even though Wowbagger speaks english he still said Englanders, instead of the British, but thats the great thing about english I still understud what he was saying.
Note to Wowbagger, I apoligise for the correction.

Safest would be on an ocean liner in the middle of the Atlantic/Pacific... if we could ever agree on which drop of briney to invade, of course!

Of course
Dr MO - I most certainly did NOT trace! I drew dem bears all by myself I did - and from memory too I might add.
As an Australian I shouldn't use the term 'Englander' you're quite right: I should have used the word "pom".

Funnily enough... I was tempted to make that remark but knew I could rely on YOU to do so Wowbagger!
BTW... as there are bears in Russia, I think you could make an impressive re-entrance to the BFG's round about now!
