My daughter developed asthma after her first MMR and then pnuemonia after her booster. her behavioural problems got worse and she developed mutiple allergies..in fact she may be allergic to herself. At 17 she has brittle asthma, eczema, bowel problems,ADHD and at one time had heart problems too. She was prefectly healthy when she was born but had a cow's milk allergy. She degenerated into a child who has been to over 10 schools despite being very bright and was banned from one nursery. She is now studying AS levels at college a year later because her illnesses have meant she has missed lots of time from school. At one time I gave up my job and taught her at home myself because the school situation was so bad.She finds any structured situation difficult.
I fully support what you are doing AGB ...I got fed up with being fobbed off and didn't take it any further..but I fully believe you should push for compensation for you and Andrew.

Thank you sweetheart.
May I add your words about your daughter to the entry?
I'm not putting it up for PR because some of the text is syntax, copied from the American medicinal journals I am researching.
Don't the figures frighten the life out of you?
1 in 175 primary school children in the USA is autistic.
No wonder Andrew Wakefield spoke up.

Heya AGB!
Feel free to put anything mum said any where you like ( if you see what I mean!)I have actually written to Dr Wakefield via Panorama because I couldn't find any way of reaching him to ask if he had heard of any other cases involving MMR and asthma. Don't know if i'll get a reply but I would like to know just to set me mind at rest because it is sooo frustrating sometimes when I feel like going for a run or playing a game of tennis and I can't. I consider myself to have got off very easily though, is it really 1 in 175 children in America?Very scary.
What I am most annoyed about is the doctor who first gave me the MMR vacine told mum not to let me have any more cos a few hours after i had the vacine I fell ill and had a high temperature.(two weeks after that i developed asthma and bowel probs and everything else) Mum told all this to the doctor who gave me the booster but they insisted as I wasn't allergic to eggs (one of the few foods I'm not ) and as it was a 'different vacine' everything would be ok. Two week later I developed pneumonia and the doctor insisted there was nothing wrong and mum was being an overprotective fussy mother who didn't know how to control my asthma. She has several nursing qualifications and was a sister and he said she didn't know what she was doing! A few weeks later he finally admitted I had a mild chest infection and then just threw antibiotics at me for weeks until mum had had enough and demanded I see another doctor.Whom took one listen at my chest and picked up the phone and dialed the hospital. But even the hospital won't let mum see the X-rays and they said there was nothing wrong (really, everyone has a solid white lump in the middle of their left lung!)It wasn't until we returned to the doctor's he admitted I had pneumonia. It took me three years to throw off the pneumonia and all because it wasn't treated right in the first place because that doctor daren't admit he shouldn't have given me the vacine. And then after that the fun with the asthma really began...but that's another story.
hope you can read this as i wrote it at top speed and i'm sorry it's so long.
Keep fighting for justice, I was watching the news today and someone professional was on (it was the BBC if that helps) I didn't catch the name and he said basically the government said the vacine was safe and now they should provide for all those whom it wasn't. Which is true, it doesn't matter for me but for you and your son and the thousands of others there needs to be justice. And the vacine should be stopped. Thing is I think i may have a natural immunity to measels anyway because no one in our family has ever had it and they haven't have the jabs.So I doubt there'd be a massive epidemic anyway and not everyone gets the severe form.Anyway keep fighting and good luck!
