Actually, this is a very informative, humourous yet fascinating piece that gives the non-Brazilian a good overview of the country. I particularly enjoyed the references to pasta and torture (I may never eat lasagne in the same way again), and the intriguing ideas of democracy that seemed to equate it with "crushing". Oh, and the bit about the skiing.
I like this... Let's see more of this style!
