il viaggiatore

Well, wherever this ends up, I'd like to add my opinion.

"People like Wargames for a very simple reason: deep down, everyone wants to hurt someone else. This stems from the days when men (I say men because males are usually stronger in the animal kingdom) would set out to hunt buffalo to eat. Of course, as humanity evolved, it became harder and harder to suppress our agressive streak."

The above is highly contentious and as yet unproven. Ologists of the socio, psycho, zoo, and anthrop variety have been trying to prove or disprove ideas such as "down, everyone wants to hurt someone else", "males are usually stronger in the animal kingdom", and "as humanity evolved, it became harder and harder to suppress our agressive streak". It comes down to the battling influences of heredity and environment, and the difficulty in distinguishing the effects of the two. This paragraph is an effective opening, and can stay, however it needs to be revised with some astute qualifying statements.
