wow cool, i really liked reading this, I didn't know there was so much history to amber! I have a few pieces of amber jewellery and loves them. Also my cousin is called Amber!

Sorry I didn't reply before - I forgot to subscribe to new conversations here so I only just noticed your post.
As you can guess, I have some pieces of amber jewellery myself, and doing the research for this has made them seem much more interesting.
I've always loved the name Amber myself.
