Well, it's cool, thought-provoking, stylish, witty, dependant on vast pools of talent...
...and 'The Tribe', subject of this entry, isn't half bad either...

Wow! That's a lot of characters!
I think I've seen this once - a few years ago. (well, I doubt there's much that I could mistake it for!). I remember being intruiged but ultimately bewildered by it all. I suppose it's not something that you can come in in the middle of....
Good entry, though
I have a couple of suggestions - perhaps the title ought to be The Tribe - The TV Programme or something similar.
My other suggestion is about the order of the characters - is it possible to divide them up according to series, tribe, good guys / bad guys. From what you've written in the entry, I would imagine that the answer is "no"! But if there is any order that could be imposed on it, I think it would help.

Hi, thanks for the comments. It is in a way bewildering if you come in in the middle, but only if you assume it isn't going to be totally naff and ridiculous. Which is is... Fact is, any actual plot is incidental to the latest outbreak of zits, or her not liking him, but he liking her over there.....
Yeah, I suppose I ought to change the title... Not that I don't totally hate the whole ''Title' - genre' thang going on, but that's the way it's done...
The characters are in order of series, and within series goodies first then baddies... After that they're ordered by association, i.e. person A relating to person B, and person B to C.... I just haven't given any indication of that . Basically I ran out of types of header...

Now, I remember a certain someone mentioning this was in the pipeline at the Summer meet-up....
Ben. Good work!!

...and I remember a certain someone agreeing to edit it too
So, what do you think - does it suitably sum up this programme's true greatness?

As you'll remember, I'm not a fan - I think it's a very generous appraisal, Ben.
Have you seen the DVDs now? There are some nice extras on them.

I do remember your mentioning something about not really understanding its greatness. Which is fair enough - few do...
But seriously, given that I've peppered the article liberally with words like 'tries' and 'aims' I don't think it's unreasonably generous. After all, articles by people who dislike things invariably work out horribly worse than ones by people that love them, even if a balance would be better.
And anyway, I think I've hopefully expressed my tongue-in-cheek love of the show, and it doesn't actually come across as my believing it's /actually/ rivelling Shakespeare. Shudder.

Ooh, I've seen a couple episodes of this on Norwegian TV. Since it's been on early in the afternoon, and obviously aimed at a younger audience than me, I haven't bothered following it but I enjoyed your entry anyways.
But it's a bit long (that's my catchphrase today )
I liked the beginning, and the end, but to reach that I had to scroll by the seemingly endless list of characters, which I just couldn't bother to read. (What little I did read didn't tell me much, it probably makes more sense to someone in the know.)
I'd advice to shrink that section down quite a bit. But that's just my opinion.

I guess my feeling is that, since the Tribe is essentially a character study, the characters are what make the show (or break it!). I tried to weave into the characters section stuff about the plot and issues that it brings up simply because to write a section entitled 'issues' with basically a bullet-list with 'Anorexia. Being orphaned. Death. Sex.' would look pathetic, and miss the point given that the show is about /reactions/ to these things, and how young people relate, rather than the issues themselves.
Sorry, that sounds horribly defensive. To put it more positively: the Tribe /is/ the Tribe's characters, and in a way the rest of the entry just backs up and sets the scene for their existence.

In that case I retract all my statements (well, not the good things of course) and just humbly suggest you mention the above before listing up and explaining all the characters.

Hello
I've recommended this as it seems a very comprehensive entry on the program, and seems to have got a good response.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Smiley Ben... At a couple of hundred words short of 6000 - care to suggest where you'd like this to be cut in half (at least).
I was thinking background, plot and tribes in one entry; characters and the rest in another.
People will lose track otherwise... being such a very thorough entry.
