A Conversation for The Gosho Movie Quote Quiz

What ho. Knew the first quote, no idea on the second. Haven't seen To Wong Foo... but adore Priscilla and would hazard that the bitchiness makes the unspoken (or less spoken) warmth all the more valuable. Besides which, on big screen Hugo Weaving and Guy Pearce's legs - especially in the scene where they emerge from the bus to find Terence Stamp face down in the cake - are cinema seat staining stuff.

I've said too much, I'll fetch me coat... oops, still wearing it.

Could say the same for yourself, mate. I'm guessing Con Air is not the correct answer.

Any chance of a clue?

Hmmm...

I have to make a confession here - I'm not entirely sure which of this actor/director's many films it comes from, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, there's a scene where someone says something very true - that James Mason is the hardesst voice in the world to impersonate.

Which narrows it down not one iota for me.smiley - erm

For some reason I'm assuming actor/director means someone like Clint Eastwood...

This particular actor/director is more closely associated with the east coast than the west, and rather more of a wimp than Clint.

And if that ain't enough of a clue, there's even more of an age difference between himself and his smiley - loveblush than there is between me and Mrs Gosho smiley - tongueout

Woody Allen's 'Take the Money and Run' perhaps?

Definitely Woody Allen, not so sure that it's TTMAR though.

Well that is the only Woody Allen film I could think of that is set (at least partially) in the South and features a chain gang. Oh well... smiley - shrug

Hullo Gosho, good to see you again. This Woody Allen quote has me baffled. The only other chain gang like reference I can think of is the erection men in 'Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex' but they sing 'mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord'. Unless there's something I've forgotten in 'Sweet and Lowdown'. But I'm just stabbing wildly in the dark here.

I was thinking 'Broadway Danny Rose', but I'm not 100% sure now smiley - erm

I have a friend at work whose flatmate is a Woody Allen buff, and he's going to find out for me smiley - ok

Avenging Washcloth, An unhurried sense of time is, in itself, a form of wealth.

smiley - rofl

I finally gave it a Google search and there was nothing that matched it, Gosho. (I'm disqualifying myself from this question.) I *still* believe this is a "To Wong Foo" b*tchless wonder quote. smiley - winkeye

By the way, Spimcoot, I'll have to give "Priscilla" another gander. When I saw it before, I may not have been giving the movie my full attention when the bickering started. smiley - ok
