Hello Whoareyou? smiley - smiley

Nice little entry on what sounds like a great place to eat. How much did they cough up? Er, sorry, praps that's in bad taste. smiley - biggrin *doesn't delete the bad taste bit*

I'll start again. Great entry, reads well and seems to give you most of the low-down.

Since no-one else is volunteering, I don't feel too bad about giving my (very minor smiley - smiley) gripes. Here goes, feel free to ignore:

- Could be my browser (I MS) but the body text doesn't *quite* fit onto the screen even when I took the time to line it up right in the middle with the scroll bar. Could it be because of the long title? Anyway, it made for awkward reading.

>Through the kitchen door, the smells of the many dishes available can be smelt - and the smell isn't one of strong, offensive spices.

- There's a whol' lotta smellin' goin' on, here!

>>tempting as it is to resist, it's best to have at least one for the experience. Side vegetables are impressive, but not essential.

- I don't know *exactly* what I don't like about this, but there is *something*. Sorry, I realise that's not terribly constructive. smiley - smiley - 'tempting to resist the temptation to do something'?

The one other thing that springs to mind is a paraphrase of what a researcher said recently about doing a 'good pubs' section for a town. He warned that pubs close/change hands/change names/go downhill/etc. and that this reduced the value of such critiques in edited entries (how easy is it to 're-edit' an edited entry?).

Now, I personally don't think this should apply to this piece. If for no other reason than that it sounds as if they are there to stay for a while! I thought it was a good point about the pubs though.

One positive thing you don't mention - booze. smiley - cheers I just popped over to the site and they have an extensive wine list. Wines from all over the world (even Alsace!) at prices ranging from pretty D reasonable up to not excessive for what it is. They even have a fair selection of champagnes inc. the old Dom Peri! Presumably the sell beers and apperitifs as well. Could be worth a mention. Whatever you think.

Anyway, I'm sure there is a place for this in the edited guide, and that it is ready to recommend as it stands. Unfortunately, I'm not a scout or anything, so it won't be me who does so. smiley - sadface

I think that most of your suggestions need applying. As for the booze - I'll add it. Nice of you to pop over to the site. The only reason I hadn't included it was that I'm only 16 and so it wasn't of great importance to me. I will of course add the non-alc, as it was pretty impressive.

Thanks, Sp. Sp.

If you're unfortunate enough to be staying in or around Coventry, it's worth the bus/taxi ride or drive.

Thanks for the support, Jimi X

Thanks all. In answer to 'is it worth a transatlantic flight?', with airlines in crisis as they are, then the flight cost will probably be less than that of the meal. The best answer is 'almost, but have another reason to visit the UK as well.'
