A Conversation for Early Cave Development

Hi Potholer. Had a quick look at the Caves and Cave development - looking good so-far, but I need to read it again (after I've had some sleep). I'll return to it tomorow day-time, and give it a proper going over. In the mean-time, would you check out my Ichthyosaurs of Street (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F48874?thread=148233&skip=0&show=20)(that's the thread in peer revue) as it also features an explanation of limestone deposition. Be glad of your opinion. Frogbit.

I had a quick read-through - looks good, but it's getting late and my eyes are starting to close of their own accord, and I haven't managed to look through all the responses yet.

The limestone coverage seems fine. Hmmm - crinoids. There sure were a lot of them. Sometimes it seems like the best Yorkshire caving rock is made of nothing else.

Yes, fantastic creatures. The next article I'm writing centres on oolitic limestone and a particular hymn written by a fire and brimstone preacher - geology and religion - what fun. If only Lyell was here...
