Do you guys read the small print on the index page in each issue of DWM? If you've missed these bits, they've been running secret messages there for years.

I've never read DWM. I think I should probably get my coat.

I do. I laughed like Hell when I saw the one annoucing they were starting them again because RTD missed them.

You sit there spotting all the different bits of the doctor's costumes through out the years, when Tennant was hunting through the Tardis' wardrobe in 'Christmas Invasion.'

Well, half the pleasure of watching it, for me, was knowing you lot were watching it too, and coming here to talk about it is part of the fun!

I'm using this as way of escaping 'My Family at Christmas'
Now there would be a scary Dr Who villian

<... You're online 3 minutes after it ends, on Christmas day.>
Ahh yes, that would be me! I will admit to having logged on near the end of the show to post my thoughts. But as Annie said, I was also thinking that you lot would be watching it and some would be eager to discuss. United in escaping (be it from life, or in-laws at Christmas!)

Arghh! My eyes, my eyes! I actually just read the line 'Take me Timelord' in a piece of fan fiction.

Is there any good filth there as well?

1st Doctor/Barbara?
I'm so glad I gave up on fanfic many, many years ago... it's all unoriginal plotting and badly written sex.

Stumbled on 1st Doctor/Ian once. *That* one'll stay with you.
el - try 'Teaspoon and an open mind' into google.
The only decent Doctor Who fanfic is Jeri Massi's, which doesn't really count because she's a pro author anyway, and Lori Summer's Domain stuff.

Hey look, you didn't read it. If you had, you'd never be able to watch the pipe smoking scenes in Unearthly Child again, not without wincing, any road.

I`ve read some of Jeri Massey`s stuff - she doesn`t write Dr Who fanfic, she writes Jo Grant fanfic. Although I was impressed and amused by the way she casually ignores or rewrites stuff from the TV show she doesn`t agree with!

Mmm, fair comment about continuity. She does love throwing out bits she doesn't like. But then so did Robert Holmes...
