... The Doctor arrives in London with the TARDIS chameleon circuit working and it appears as a cardboard box. The Doctor gets picked up for being a down and out; and his companion (a female IIRC) has to break him out of Slade Prison before Ronnie Barker can drop the soap in the showers ... ?

... The Doctor doesn't appear for the first three episodes and his companions spend their time on an alien planet franticly searching for him, dodging Daleks and Silurians, only to return to the TARDIS and find that he's been hiding there all the time planning a "SURPRISE" party for them, complete with ballons, jelly and ice cream ...
