I've just seen the trailer for series 4... looks pretty good.
Looks like it's gonna be a bit darker too...

It's the same as the flicks trailer, yep (well, as far as I can see), but it's now running on BBC1.

Counting down seriously now I've seen it!! Looking forward to the return of just about every old assistant in this series!! I have heard that Donna has been toned down and the chemistry between Tate and Tennant is brilliant!! Looking forward to seeing the backpedalling from the Donna haters!!!

Possible SPOILER:
DOCTOR WHO SERIES 4 is coming soon.
The official "theme photograph" featuring Tenant and Tate is released - minus text graphics.
Is there a clue to the new series within the image? The code number of 820684 | 4 is featured, including a "helix" design graphic. Is this pure coincidence or will it, like SAXON or BAD WOLF, be an integral running theme throughout?
The image (top right) has a subliminal patriotic tone to it - a hint of a Union Flag?

So how come they're starting it in an earlier slot?

That Oliver thing? Is that more of my license fee going to Andrew Lloyd Webber??
Dr Who Series 4 speculation
Jozcoz Posted Mar 28, 2008
unfortunatley yes, but just think of your neighbours lisence fee going to Webber, and your fee going to Dr who. Then next time you see them laugh. Mwa ha ha...

It's been shifted back to 6.20pm which seems to have something to do with the new Andrew Lloyd-Webber affiliated talent show. RTD is already sounding-off nervously about it potentially wiping 1.5m viewers off "Who"'s ratings whilst the internet conspiracists are muttering about it being part of a plot to kill the show off (for some reason). Whatever, I think ratings will definitely be down and possibly by as much as RTD estimates: it's extremely damaging to move a show from its traditional timeslot and, in the spring and summer months, particularly so it move it as far back as this. Personally, I've always thought 7pm was a touch early, I think 7.30-8pm would be better; more solidly in the "Saturday evening drama" slot without edging out of the family pre-watershed timescale.

I strongly doubt that they're trying to kill it off...
Dr Who is now one of BBC1's flagship shows. It's their biggest ratings grabber... Whether Webber want's it to be or not...

Is no-one interested in this anymore?
Last time the series was on this was one of the busiest threads.
Or has everyone gone to Outpost Galleyfrey?

Speculation is not the same as spoilers so it is difficult to "speculate" when I know things (admittedly unconfirmed) because I could be spoilering.

okay... what about "I think your song will end soon"?
Dr Who Series 4 speculation
Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Apr 21, 2008
I think the song's not what people think (ie bye bye DT). The Ood's song was a song of a slave people, then it ended to be replaced as the song of a free people.
If that's the case, the Doctor has a few "songs" that could be ending - "Lonely God", "Last of the Time Lords", etc.
That's my theory anyway.
