He's writing a three-part Tin Tin movie, to be directed by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson (and possibly George Lucas).
Hmmm. He's already contributing a two-parter to S4. And S5 has been delayed a year in favour of specials (no word on writers there, but RTD might do them all). By the time S5 comes round to production, he will be finished with Tin Tin...
Just saying, is all.

AWEOME, I loved Tintin as a kid and was just thinking about it this morning!

no. you can't give ALL of them to him, otherwise he'd get bored and the stories would be rubbish, and they would start to get a bit samey

How about Mr Moffat writes the episodes that RTD always writes; ie first of the season, season finale (however many eps that entails) & christmas special?
RTD could then write the Doctor-lite episode. I'd be interested to see the quality of RTD's writing in such a situation but I'd be confident that SM would deliver the goods.

RTD wrote the Season Two Doctor-Lite episode, Love and Monsters, which rather divided opinion. So we've already seen how he handles that.
(L&M was one of my favourite episodes, but there were many people who loathed it just as much.)

I hated L&M, but quite enjoyed the Confidential about it. Therefore, logically, if they did a 'making of' the Confidential, I should really like it a lot.

I really didn't like L&M, but I can't put my finger on exactly why...

I loved the L&M episode right up until the last moment - the girlfriend face in concrete touch .....
That said the episode did include the best ever use of a song. The use of the 'Mr Blue Sky' song in general was good but the use of the end of the song with the line 'this side is over' to mark the passing of his mother was just a stroke of genius...
