You might have heard of Weta, the special effects team for Lord of the Rings, Narnia and other movies. They have also done a few merchandising things, like some ray guns featured in Wired recently. It seems they will be coming out with something Who-related, anyone know more about what exactly?

Rumour has it they are going to be producing replicas of the Doctor's watch from Huamn Nature. Which given they go in for the high-end stuff merchandise wise, makes sense.

How cool would it be to have one of those watched though - just imagine

I was in a toy shop the other day buying presents and found a DW pen with sounds. In fact there were two choices - cyberman voice or one with the tardis theme and the series theme music.
I told myself I was far too old for such stuff. Then I went back for another look. Then decided the sound may run out at any time and it wasn't that cheap.
Now I wish I'd bought one

Have you seen the new Face of Boe toy? I am very tempted! Ok, so I'm 34 but when it comes to DW I'm 10 again. Gonna scare the pants of my colleagues when I've got Boe on my desk.........

I'm looking forward to the 'flight' Tardis. it's in proper scale with the 5" toys (unlike the money box Tardis) and it makes different noises. If you swing it through the air it makes 'in-flight' noises, if you put it down it materialises - pick it up and it dematerialises, shake it about a bit and it does 'vortex' noises.
And the doors open inwards, and the phone hatch opens outwards. The best Tardis toy ever!
