"Can not help to notice some inconcistencies (must be me, misinterpretating the words)

In the end all citizens are amazed by seeing the sky. The first steps in New-New-York are in a pooring rain.

There is talk about not enough power to support them when they are 'out' next step is letting them all 'out'.

Not even concidering there must be a 'normal' way in, as the kidnappers drove in with Martha.

Everything inside the cars is recycled, apparently except the exhaust gasses smiley - huh. "

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am...

1. Just because it's raining, it doesn't necessarily mean there's sky... I assumed from the start that the undercity wouldn't have access to the sky and therefore the weather conditions would be artifical.

2. I thought it was not enough power to get them out in the first place. Once they're out the infrastructure can be properly rebuilt and power wouldn't be an issue.

3. Try getting off a normal motorway using the 'entry' slip road. Then imagine doing it when there are thousands of cars and several layers of traffic... plus, when you consider the fact that everything required clearance it's entirely possible that even if you were insane enough to try getting off that way it would be blocked.

4. Narrative causality.

Well, maybe there's no use for the exhust gasses. Or maybe recyling them uses more energy than it saves. Not to mention that unless you're expecting a major crisis which results in the motorways being sealed off, chances are you're not going to think of recycling them.

smiley - ale
