The Curse of the Fatal Death
unisyc Posted May 1, 2007
Yes, and I believe I can say that it contained nothing but pure awesomeness. It was actually better than some of the episodes of the three new series, which is quite... sad, I suppose.
With his performance here and in 'Scream of the Shalka', Richard E Grant is *my* Ninth Doctor - never mind this Christopher Eccleston (even though he was a good actor and played it well).
Rowan Atkinson as the Ninth Doctor and Jonathan Pryce as the Master? Pure brilliance.

Yeah - I never understood that. Mind you, I'm the type who enjoyed 'Dimensions in Time' for its blatant crappiness, so something might be wrong with me.

At that point, I was half-expecting their manipulator arms to start moving up and down in a salute...

That episode had more classic lines than BMW!

Yes. It's my lame attempt at replicating one of the dozens of similes from Red Dwarf.
BMW has many classic (car) lines, and The Curse of Fatal Death had many classic lines.
Hence the bodge simile.

I've only seen the 1 episode of red dwarf. What I've seen is good though... it was called "The End" which I assumed was the first one

Aximili Posted Jul 3, 2007
Yep. It says a lot for RD that they called their very first episode 'The End'.
Kryten was always my favourite character.

Do you get UKTVG2 on Freeview? If you do, I think it's on there every night this week.
If not, your best bet is the DVDs. Compared to other series, they're axtually pretty cheap.

I don't I'm afraid. How much is a series gonna set me back?
The Curse of the Fatal Death
Aximili Posted Jul 3, 2007
Not much. Depending on where you go, it's usually about fifteen quid a series, but I have seen them for eight (That's new, BTW but don't bank on finding them that cheap. The place that sold them's gone out of business now)

Aximili Posted Jul 3, 2007
Soory, I phrased that badly.
THE PLACE THAT I SAW THEM FOR EIGHT has gone out of business now, so you
should probably expect to pay about ten to fifteen depending on where you go.

Do you rekon they're gonna do any more Dr Who for CIN or RND?
