Umm, didn't you need the glasses for that? Dimensions in Time was a) the Thirtieth Anniversary and b) Somewhat duff I remember. Lets hope the Fortieth Anniversary does not go that way. smiley - yikes

Yep, these were special glasses available from high-street stores at the time, but the TV show was broadcast with a new 3D technique that allowed the picture to be seen as normal without the glasses.

Duff as you said,

As you ssaid I think glasses were involved, but they were not kept with the tape.

I tend to keep lots of tape about tv.

Well, okay, on the one hand it was a bit naff (fair enough, it was completely naff) but on the other hand it's got that bit where Romana meets the Mitchell brothers...

The idea behind "Dimensions In Time" was that it could be watched both in 3D with the glasses, but also without the glasses, which meant that in order to do it, the camera needed to keep moving.
If you get the issue of DWM on sale at all good newsagents (try WH Smiths or Waterstones) now, the main article is all about it.

Thats one stage nearer to find out what the glasses consisted of, I might even be able to see it in the piece in 3D. I will search ot the book.

...Although when I was down town today I saw that the new edition is out, so I don't know if you'll find it. When I next go into the garage I'll see if I can find it & let you know more!
