Yes, I think it is. It's not great but I've made the changes and can't think of anything else to say

Hi Niwt,
Could you remind the reader what the left brain hemisphere is associated with (I always forget which is which - right == artistic?).
Also, the expression hook-wristed was new to me.
Awu.
Just an aside - since the entry is about right handedness.
I've often wondered about decks of playing cards. For us right handers, when the cards are fanned out, the small numbers are top left. For a left hander holding the cards in the left hand, mirror image of a right hander, the numbers would be obscured. They have to fan the cards out the opposite way.

Someone who writes with their wrist hooked.

If you could add in a footnote about the meaning of "hook-wristed", I would think this one ready to be picked!
Personally, I was able to figure out what it was, but I think the fact that more than one person asked is a good sign that a definition should be included.

Okay, I'll change that.
Are Scouts still picking now, or do you get a break as there won't be new front page entries for a while?

I added the footnote, but I found it hard to explain. Also somebody left a comment challenging what I'd written about cutlery...damn...I thought we'd made that part okay...

Friar Posted Sep 11, 2003
There are several nomadic cultures in which the left hand is used for, erm, personal hygiene of the bathroom sort, and therefore removed from polite use, such as eating, greetings etc.
I want to look at the lefty article, but I'm not sure yet that these two articles wouldn't be better off together.
Friar, not thinking about ignoring neither obvious nor subtle double negatives

nevermind about the lefty stuff, as I now realize that it's been in EG for years. . .
my bad

Scouts are still picking, subeditors are still subbing, work on the EG continues more or less as usual, during the hiatus.

Friar - this is supposed to be a sort of opposite of the lefty entry. I don't think I mentioned the left hand toilet thing (it was left, wasn't it? I can't remember ) in that entry , but I don't think it belongs in this one. Or maybe it does. I'll think about it.

I wish you would have mentioned baseball in the left-hander entry, because southpaws have a strong advantage in the sport. You go through the whole thing whining about the bias against them and you didn't mention that they're valuable in baseball
Right handers - they're a dime a dozen Don't worry about it in this entry though. I'm writing enough about baseball for both of us (At least you mention Babe Ruth)
Good luck! This is shaping up nicely

Didn't I mention it! I knew about it because I read about it somewhere, but obviously forgot to mention it and no-one picked it up in Peer Review. Ah well. Sorry.
I guess you'll have to mention it in one of your baseball entries if it fits in somewhere.

I believe they also have an advantage in fencing and some other sports, mainly because they're rare.
