To get in the Edited Guide, I gather the entry has to be in the third person. Having said that, I rather liked it!

I wonder if there has ever been any one person or group of people that spoke English in it's unadultered form. It's such a fun language to manipulate!

I'd still say that the Black Country in the West Midlands, UK could probably give it a run for its money.

When I was in Consumer Advice in Tipton (West Mids), someeone came in and said:

With the exception of the last point it is wonderfully Okie-centric, perhaps if you were going for 10 points you could add something else? Not really fair to pick on Texas and Kansas, is it? Poor little Kansas with no trees or Guide Entries of it's own....

And steriotypical is spelled 'stereotypical'.

Kudos likewise to you, my friend. I may put something in the guide on Kansas and Texas next just to console them. You see, I wrote this article just before the big football game between Oklahoma University and Texas University, so my state pride adrenaline was running a little high.

It's something for a good laugh... but ... I'm afraid it's a bit short on the 'factual' side.

Apart from being factual, the Edited Guide does its best to be *balanced*, if not *positive*. Aren't there any sights or things worth to be visited in Oklahoma?

I'm not sure what you're asking for - you could expand it into even more humour/sarcasm and try out the Alternative Workshop (where 'Workshop' is a misnomer) or 'So Long, and Thanks for Laughing', or go to the Post team.

If you'd want to have this thread removed from Peer Review then simply say so, and we'll have it moved back to the entry itself.

What I want to know is, does this even stand a chance of getting into the edited guide?

Yes it does. Alas, you'll have to insert *something* about places to go (to balance out the ones to avoid) and suchlike. A good guideline is if you're asking yourself whether a tourist, a neighbour, and a local could read the entry without being embarrassed and perhaps saying 'oh, I didn't know that!'
