Thanks glad you like the idea.

Got any more to add that I might have missed, how about any more relevant lists.

The hope is if we tell people what's missing they might fill the gaps.smiley - smiley

Hiya Bob smiley - smiley
I apologise but I am busy subbing Gnomon's First Crusade (5 entries) project prior to inserting it to PR. I'll definitely be back to assist you though, as soon as I'm done with it (am on the 3rd entry now).

On first glance through though I don't think you missed any, you've even inspired me to read some I didn't know we hadsmiley - biggrin

A good idea for a challenge this, well donesmiley - cheers

Very good - this article on Winchester briefly mentions the Roman period A1232632. How much mention of Romans do you need for the article to be listed?

The 69 was the "Year of the Four Emperors" when four usurpers successively claim the purple. Galba 68 to 69 -- Otho 69 -- Vitellius 69 -- Vespasianus, The 1 st Flavian.

Vespasian, the conquerer of the Isle of Wight who survived a poetry reading by Nero to become Emperor - quite tempting. I'll have to find my copy of the 12 Cæsaers...

Here's one not on your list:
