I was required to write an article for school last week detailing war, its makeup, and its reflection in today's events involving international terrorism. This work I believe is an accurate and informative evaluation of such, encompassing all required areas and providing hopefully an interesting read.

I like it!

The only thing I would suggest is that you eliminate references to 'the situation now' and the like. Remember, if this gets into the Edited Guide, someone could come along ten years from now and read it.

You could use something like 'as of this writing (Autumn, 2001)' instead. Current situations tend not to stay current...

Otherwise, I don't see any problems with this getting into the Edited Guide. Of course, I'm NOT a scout.

Your article doesn't mention anything material, like food, water or shelter. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the world or war at all.

Any collective disagreement over opinions and ideology can usually be ignored by someone practical; I live in California the land of the Fruits and Nuts (I am a native and include myself here) and I can ignore six idiocies before breakfast. Murdering everyone who disagrees with me, or encouraging others to do so on my behalf, would be very tiring.

Let's say that you take food out of my mouth or kill my husband (who helps me gather resources to pay rent, i.e. shelter, with his paycheck). It doesn't matter whether you or I disagree about whether I needed to eat that food, or whether I need to live in an apartment. My chances of living without that food, or on the streets of Los Angeles, are not good. I and all members of my political unit(s) which guarantee my safety and well being will try to get that food back, get compensation from you, or kill you, whether you agree or not.

In the case of current events, murder has been committed, and some American people will starve or be homeless.

As important and far-reaching in its consequences this topic is - I'm not convinced that this entry is what the Editors are looking for. It's more an essay than reporting facts. This is a common problem with this kind of subject matters, it's hard to sort out one from the other .

Then again, these are only my opinions, you could disagree and still get into the guide

I agree with the above posters that this one still needs some help. Sadly, the author doesn't seem to have been around much.
