That coupled with the fact that my lovely bride was out there this past weekend and we've been talking about taking our kids on the Middle Yough this summer...
Which reminds me, I ought to put in the age restrictions for boaters for the Middle Yough and Lower Yough...

If you're ever in Pennsylvania and have a free day, you'll have to run the rapids.
I can't get the lovely Mrs X back on the Lower Yough after our last trip when we went into the water at Dimple Rock when our raft-mates froze and didn't back paddle. We smacked the rock and went halfway up its face before we all fell into the water and were carried downstream...
She was a bit frightened and couldn't find me (because she was sitting on my chest) but we all got back in the raft and finished the trip in good order. I really enjoyed it. But a month later she saw a newspaper story that someone had died at the Dimple and she said her whitewater career was over...

So Jodan, have you ever done the Yough? Being in Ohio, it's not *that* far. I drive about 200 miles to get there every year.

No, I haven't. It sounds nice though Better than my usual vacation place in Kentucky anyway
