http://www.zmag.org/ - The best, most well informed collection of political writing online. Noam Chomksy, John Pilger, George Monbiot and Susan George are amongst the many excellent writers featured. Enormous and can be abit daunting at first, but utterly fantastic. If you wanna understand the why and how of big global politics, economics and militarism without nonsense conspiracy theories and with international scope then delve deep into Zmag.
http://www.nologo.org/ "The book that became a movement." No Logo has popularised the anti-global movement, the site and book have some interesting stuff but one of the most idiot message boards
except perhaps here... http://www.urban75.com/ Both sites are useful though, and urban75 has some really good javascript games (Bush vs Chimp, bubblewrap popping, speed-clicking and Mr Insult. U75 also has UK coverage of protest action, raves, advice on drugs, underground parties and suchlike.
Honorable mentions must go to http://www.private-eye.co.uk/frames/index.htmhttp://www.thebrainstrust.co.uk/ and http://www.theonion.com/ for variously succesful politcal satire and actual laugh out loud funniness.
And finally, for info on anti war protests in the UK visit the Campaign For Nuclear disarmament http://www.cnduk.org/
