A Conversation for The Pagan Page

Or should that be Blessed Be? smiley - smiley

I would describe myself as having a pagan heart but being non-practicing. I revel in nature and go a bit bonkers if my contact is limited. When I get out and about I de-stress again. I keep up with meditiation to an extent but since I tend to do it in bed before sleep my boyfriend generally snores or rolls over and distracts me! I used to be part of a healing class but even that has fallen by the wayside!

Despite all this, I think you're correct when you say being pagan is something that comes from within, and it was something that evolved in me first, and later I found out there were others with similar beliefs who had a name for them.

I suppose I would like to develop further, but it's something that feels very personal to me and I seldom have the privacy. I have heard that "When the pupil is ready, the teacher will come", so perhaps the time is just not right yet.

Anyway, just wanted to make contact!

Hi Serephina,

(gratefully accepts smiley - tea and offers smiley - donut)

There don't seem to be too many pagans around here. Perhaps they prefer to lurk in the shadows.

(Munching - sorry will try not to spray crumbs!)

How long have you been a hedgewitch? I have the Rae Beth book kicking about somewhere but haven't read it for quite a while. I'll have to look it out and dust it off.

I really should be thinking about a diet!smiley - puff

There are quite a few pagans around here, I know a few myself..with this being such a big site though theres prolly a few places people hang around.

I've not been practising all that long..abut a year or so? so i'm fairly new to it all. I wasn't too keen on the Rae Beth book..shes a little flowery for my liking smiley - winkeye but I have used the book for refernce n altered bits n pieces..

Sometimes I find it a little weird taking things from books - the rituals don't always feel natural to me. I suppose you just need to mess about with them until you find what's right for you.

I think ritual during meditation is easier, as I have a specific place I can go to, but then there's always the chance I'll fall asleep...smiley - winkeye

More smiley - donut?

smiley - laugh Yeah, that's the only problem! I just find it easier to get into, less distractions, that sort of thing. The difficulty is in maintaining consciousness!

I couldn't imagine not having a pet around the house. i get stressed and need a good forest to cool me off. so I'm not sure. whatever I am, it's pretty relaxed, and (I hope) tolerant. I would like to know about healing, coz i care about people a bit.smiley - smileysmiley - tongueout
