The seats in Maitland Cinema WERE the most comfortable seats but I think you'll find that the seats at the new Raymond Terrace cinema are much, much more comfortable. I go to school in Maitland and I think I'm going to end up severly brain-damaged from just those few hours of sheer boredom I spend there a day.

I was greatly saddend by your news of Raymond Terrace having more comfortable seats in it's cinema. This has serverely dented the only credible thing about Maitland. Since I was unaware of Raymond Terrace even having a cinema i'm hoping that it will sink back into the oblivion from which it came by bad marketing strategies or pehaps a nasty accident...

Living is East Maitland, a place that is easily as boring as Maitland, it becomes apparent that you have to travel a distance to go to the cinema. Up until reciently it would have been easy to say that Maitland Cinema had the most comfortable seats, but I would now have to say that Glendale, I am yet to go to Raymond Terrace, has the most comfortable seats in the local area. Though it is a long way to travel to see a film. The main problem with Maitland is the lack of leg room in between seats. And the fact that to see a film you have to wait for ages, I have been in lines for up to an hour.Plus some weekends the lines are out the door. These are some of the things that have encouraged me to go elsewhere to see films, mainly Newcastle (who would go to Cessnock), I await the day that the new cinema for East Maitland gets approved.

Further Note:
The seats at Raymond Terrace are in fact more comfortable than Maitland, though being new they are still rather stiff - though this may change as they age.
